What is Phi Phi?

As we have already mentioned, it is a group of islands. Six, to be exact, two of them are the biggest ones and the most popular: Phi Phi Don and Phi Phi Leh. The first one is larger and inhabited. Its lovely shores and beaches attract an incredible number of tourists.

Phi Phi Leh, in its turn, is smaller and uninhabited. The stunningly beautiful bays were featured in the movie. That’s why a lot of people make visiting Maya Bay a part of their bucket list. The scenery is breathtaking.

How to Get to Phi Phi Islands?

The nearest towns to Phi Phi that have an airport or a station – are Krabi and Phuket. If you are anywhere else in Thailand (Bangkok, for example) it is the easiest and cheapest way to get to the island – to arrive at Krabi or Phuket first.

At the arrival to the airport or station you will see dozens of taxis and buses that are ready to take you to the piers to catch the boat. Remember to check the schedule of the boats before you go.

It takes around 30-45 minutes to get to the pier from Krabi and approximately 45-60 minutes to get to the pier of Phuket from the airports. After that, all you need to do is take the boat that will leave you in paradise (only 43 kilometers from the Krabi coast).
